Driving Scholarships

If you live anywhere in Utah, you’ve seen them around town. They’re at grocery stores, movie theaters, restaurants, libraries, even the gym. The number of USU alumni getting Aggie or “A” plates has been on the rise, and there is no mystery why.

“A” plates send kids to school. It is as simple as that.

Each license plate is only $25 a year and directly funds alumni student scholarships. To put it into perspective, that comes out to about $2 a month, which on a monthly basis is:

$6 less than your Netflix subscription
$69 less than your cell phone bill*
$76 less than your basic cable**, and
$223 less than the money you spend eating away from home***

And not only are you supporting scholarships at USU, but you’re also showing off your Aggie spirit everywhere you go.

Last month, I was visiting family in Boise and I stopped by a Jamba Juice while running errands. As I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed a Honda Odyssey with Aggie plates. At that very moment my USU pride meter jumped a level. I felt an instant bond with whoever was driving that minivan, even though we’d never met. I know that is cheesy, but it is the truth.

Just think of how helpful your investment is when you buy “A” plates. You don’t even have to wait until you renew your vehicle registration. You can pay for your plates online today, and we’ll send you a certificate to exchange for your Aggie plates at any Utah Motor Vehicle Division.

What a simple, inexpensive way to help a student get an education. Why wouldn’t you get one? Start today.
